A National Research Survey of Technology Use in the BSW Teaching and Learning Process
Buquoi, Brittany; McClure, Carli; Kotrlik, Joseph W.; Machtmes, Krisanna; Bunch, J. C.
Journal of Teaching in Social Work, v33 n4-5 p481-495 2013
The purpose of this descriptive-correlational research study was to assess the overall use of technology in the teaching and learning process (TLP) by BSW educators. The accessible and target population included all full-time, professorial-rank, BSW faculty in Council on Social Work Education--accredited BSW programs at land grant universities. BSW educators did not appear to be using technology in the TLP at an advanced or even moderate level. However, they were found to be more likely to incorporate technology in the TLP as the amount of technology available increased and as their constructivist teaching philosophy strengthened.
