Delaware Technical and Community Coll., Dover. Terry Campus.
The Terry Campus of Delaware Technical and Community College has established academic standards to endorse competencies and skills for all courses of the technological programs. These standards eliminate conflicts and allow students to understand, from the beginning of their studies, the requirements for awarding a degree, diploma, or certificate. Outlined in this guide are the following: (1) graduation requirements; (2) advanced credit for experiential learning and College Level Examination Program (CLEP), credit by examination, and transfer credit; (3) evaluation standards in the areas of grading policy, types of testing, and retesting policy; (4) student paper writing policy as relates to appearance, mechanics/organization, documentation; and (5) policy on monitoring student progress. Additionally, minimum competencies are outlined for degrees in building science technology (including architecture, civil engineering, and construction curricula), business administration technology (including business administration, business technology, accounting, banking, and data processing curricula), criminal justice technology (including corrections and police science curricula), electrical/electronics technology, human services technology, practical nursing technology, and secretarial technology (including two-year executive secretarial, one-year clerical, and one-year stenographic curricula).
