Backous, Douglas D.; Niparko, John K.
Volta Review, v99 n5 p149-60 1997
Perilymph fistula (PLF) is an abnormal communication between the fluid-containing spaces of the inner ear and the air-containing spaces of the temporal bone that can cause hearing loss, tinnitus, aural fullness, vertigo, and postural instability. Diagnosis of PLF and management of those with presumed PLF are discussed. (Contains extensive references.) (Author/CR)
