Four Programmatic Approaches to Assisting Students' Transition from College
Diepenbrock, Amy; Gibson, Wanda
New Directions for Student Services, n138 p43-57 Sum 2012
Transitioning from college can be a process in life that fills students with trepidation. They may experience feelings of uncertainty and anxiety over issues related to transferring to another college, going on to graduate school, entering military service, or moving into the world of work. Recognizing that these topics may cause distress to their students, colleges and universities can choose to address these concerns in programmatic ways. This chapter describes four programs designed to assist students in the transition to after-college life. (Contains 4 tables.)
