The Sequential Mathematics Sequence provides students with an integrated course of study, including lessons which interweave algebra, geometry, logic, probability, and mathematical systems. This handbook is designed to meet the needs of teachers who will be teaching Course III in the sequence. The handbook, for use with staff development programs, has seven main sections: (1) program scope and sequence; (2) comparison of sequential mathematics Course III and 11th year mathematics; (3) teaching functions; (4) teaching geometric transformations; (5) teaching probability and statistics; (6) teaching logarithmic, exponential and trigonometric functions; and (7) standards from rating regents examinations.
