Emergency Action Plans in Physical Education
Tanis, Cindy J.; Hebel, Susan L.
Strategies: A Journal for Physical and Sport Educators, v29 n4 p3-7 2016
Emergency Action Plans (EAP) are essential to properly manage injuries and illnesses in physical education and sport. However, most literature discusses EAP's in the athletic arena instead of physical education. The purpose of this study was to examine physical education instructors' experiences of student illness and injury, discuss the steps of an EAP, and provide a template for physical educators to develop a customized EAP at their school.
