Using Individual Growth and Development Indicators to Assess Child and Program Outcomes
Luze, Gayle J.; Hughes, Kre
Young Exceptional Children, v12 n1 p31-41 2008
This article describes the use of Individual Growth and Development Indicators (IGDIs) to assess child and program outcomes. IGDIs do not provide all information needed to plan and implement effective services for infants and toddlers, but they do provide frequent data that can be used to make good decisions about interventions. Even though IGDIs are new assessment tools, they are technically sound, provide useful information to interventionists and parents, and are fun for children. IGDIs can be a valuable contribution to an interventionist's toolbox. (Contains 3 tables and 2 figures.)
