The application of technology to educational settings has always been an interesting phenomenon. Each new technological advance is described as a panacea for whatever ails education at that moment. As people move closer to more current times, the influence of personal computers and the rise of the internet has affected the educational setting in both positive and negative ways. This paper discusses three problems with the use of online learning as a delivery system for courses: (1) dealing with the rigor of these courses; (2) the lack of interaction; and (3) the problem of online testing.
