Reexamining Spatial Ability within a Piagetian Framework.
McArthur, Julia M.; Wellner, Karen L.
Journal of Research in Science Teaching, v33 n10 p1065-82 Dec 1996
Examines results of Piagetian spatial research studies while focusing on the existence of gender differences in Piagetian spatial assessments. Results indicate that a majority of performance assessments did not demonstrate a significant difference between males and females. Concludes that the clinical interview results provide evidence of the overall poor spatial ability of both males and females. (72 references) (Author/JRH)
