This inventory of academic degree programs in South Carolina was designed to aid institutional and statewide planners and others who want to identify institutions offering a specific program. A first section lists academic programs and indicates the schools offering each program. A second section listing public and private colleges identifies the degree programs offered by each. The programs are arranged according to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) Classification of Instructional Programs. The NCES taxonomy codes for each program are included, along with the type of degree/certificate awarded. The institutions in the guide are also listed by type: public senior colleges and universities, four-year campuses of the University of South Carolina, private senior colleges and universities, two-year campuses of the University of South Carolina, two-year colleges, and technical colleges.
