Academic Preparation and Subsequent Performance of Intercollegiate Football Players.

Compared college football players with nonathletes to determine the academic abilities of football players. Examined admissions files, transcripts, and orientation test scores of subjects. Results showed that athletes arrived less well prepared academically than nonathletes but performed as well in the first two years. (BH)
