In a survey regarding the intensity and frequency of methods of corporal punishment students have received and of the persons administering it, corporal punishment is shown to be used normatively for behavioral management. Males received greater punishment, especially from their fathers. Lower grades and greater problems, such as aggression and depression, were found. (Author/CM)
