Camden County College One Year Graduate Follow-Up Survey: 1993 Graduates.
Camden County Coll., NJ.
To determine graduates' perceptions of their educational experiences and post-graduation outcomes, Camden County College, (CCC), in New Jersey, conducted a survey of all 984 graduates from 1993. Completed surveys were received from 47.5% (n=467) of the graduates, and analyses of responses revealed the following: (1) 89.9% indicated that they had achieved their primary objective by the time they left CCC; (2) 51% of respondents reported that they had enrolled in a degree-granting program since graduation; (3) 97% of the respondents indicated that they would recommend CCC to prospective students; (4) transferring credits was the most commonly cited problem with transfer, reported by 20.4% of the responding students who transferred; (5) 74.7% of respondents were employed, 64.7% full-time and 35.3% part-time; (6) of the career program graduates who responded that they were employed, 86.2% were employed in a job related to their field of study and 93.7% responded that their training was somewhat to extremely useful in performing their job; (7) of certificate program graduates who were employed, 57.1% were employed in a job related to their field of study and 71.4% indicated that their training was useful; (8) when "good" and "excellent" ratings were combined, the three student services receiving the highest ratings were quality of course instruction, library/learning resource center services, and admissions; and (9) when "poor" and "fair" ratings were combined the services receiving the lowest ratings were registration, academic advisement, and counseling.
