Only 102 Chicanos/Latinos are presidents of two- and four-year colleges in the United States, and only one heads a major research institution. The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is developing a major national leadership initiative to supply administrators for academic institutions and a network to cultivate leaders. (MSE)
