Providing data on 1994-95 graduates and completers from Pima Community College (PCC), in Arizona, this report presents tables showing the number and percentage of associate degrees, technical and advanced certificates, and basic certificates by type; by instructional program; by ethnicity; and by gender. Six- and 10-year comparative data are also included. Highlighted findings include the following: (1) graduates and completers earned 1,865 awards in 1994-95, with associate degrees constituting 57% of these awards, basic certificates 28%, and technical and advanced certificates 15%; (2) minority students represented 29% of the total graduates, while women comprised 58%; (3) 20% of the graduates were Hispanic, 3% African-American, 3% Asian-American, and 2% Native American; (4) since 1985-86, the proportion of degrees has decreased by 3%, the proportion of technical and advanced certificates has increased by 6%, and the proportion of basic certificates has decreased by 3%; (5) in 1994-95, the largest percentages of total degrees were awarded in general studies (38%), nursing (12%), business administration (5%), and legal assistant (5%); (6) the largest percentages of advanced and technical degrees were awarded in practical nursing (16%), water technology (14%), hazardous materials technology (12%), and wastewater technology (12%); and (7) the most frequently awarded basic certificate was in the emergency medical technology program (55%).
