Annual Enrollment Report. Student Enrollment and Full Time Equivalents, 1979-80. Volume 15.

After identifying data sources and defining terms, this report presents tables and graphs detailing 1979-80 enrollment statistics for the 58-member North Carolina Community College System. The first 12 tables delineate: (1) headcount enrollment in nine program areas by institution and (2) by quarter; (3) annual headcount enrollment (1958-1980), including program enrollment data since 1972-73; (4) annual headcount enrollment in instructional areas within the nine program areas for 1977-78 through 1979-80; (5) program and (6) institutional enrollments by sex and race; (7) geographic origins of Fall 1979 enrollees; (8) home state and out-of-state students by program; (9) program enrollment, number of high school graduates, 1979 population statistics, and ratio of total enrollment to population for each county in North Carolina; (10) average annual full-time equivalent (FTE) program enrollment by institution and (11) by quarter; and (12) average annual FTE program enrollment (1965-1980). The report concludes with graphs and tables showing institutional FTE enrollments by quarter for college transfer; general education; technical education; vocational education; occupational, academic, and regular extension; adult high school; learning laboratory; adult basic education; Comprehensive Employment and Training Act; New and Expanding Industry; human resources development; recreational and self-supporting extension; and disadvantaged and handicapped programs.
