Teachers Reading/Readers Teaching: Five Teachers' Personal Approaches to Literature and Their Teaching of Literature.
Zancanella, Don
Research in the Teaching of English, v25 n1 p5-32 Feb 1991
Investigates the relationships between five junior high school teachers' personal approaches to literature and their teaching of literature. Suggests that pedagogically useful knowledge exists in these five teachers' personal approaches to literature but that institutional constraints and the teachers' lack of a theoretical framework for literary studies prevent such knowledge from being utilized.
