Relating Exemplary Teaching to Student Learning.
Angelo, Thomas A.
New Directions for Teaching and Learning, n65 p57-64 Spr 1996
Student learning, perhaps the best measure of exemplary teaching, can be examined indirectly through correlated measures of teaching. Guidelines for good practice in assessment of teaching include use of multiple methods; assessment of multiple dimensions of learning; use of multiple assessors; distinguishing qualities best assessed by the teacher, students, disciplinary peers, and campus colleagues; and assessment over time.
