This publication is a companion report to "Financial Statistics of Institutions of Higher Education: Property, 1972-73, Summary Data," which contains national totals. This volume contains regional and state tables on the value of property owned or utilized by institutions of higher education at the end of the 1972-73 fiscal year. Data were gathered from 2,796 of the 2,947 institutions surveyed. The survey form was part of the HEGIS package for l973. Data contained in this report are presented in two sets of tables. The first set aggregates all universities with their four- and two-year branches; two-year institutions not connected with a higher level institution are grouped separately. The second set of tables uses a new method of aggregation in which only the university-level institutions are aggregated under the heading "universities." Two- and four-year branches and independent two-year colleges are presented separately. (LBH)
