Influence of Tuition and Student Aid on Within-Year Persistence by Adults in 2-Year Colleges.

Uses data from a national study on student aid to examine the influence of student subsidies on within-year persistence for nontraditional college-age students enrolled in two-year colleges. Finds that tuition charges had a negative effect on within-year persistence and that student aid subsidies were insufficient to mitigate this effect. (19 citations.) (MAB)
