Quality in Undergraduate Education: A Collaborative Project
Albertine, Susan; Henry, Ronald J.
Liberal Education, v90 n3 p46-53 Sum 2004
The Quality in Undergraduate Education project (QUE) is an equity project, founded on a belief that a high-quality public baccalaureate education should be accessible to all students. QUE is a collaboration among twenty-one colleges and universities in four states (California, Georgia, Maryland, and Nevada). It groups regional two- and four-year partners together in "clusters." QUE asks faculty to draft voluntary standards and student learning outcomes in five arts and sciences disciplines: biology, chemistry, English, history, and mathematics. This document explains the QUE project and addresses lessons from the faculty.
