Yeah!!! A Snow Day!
Cone, Theresa Purcell; Cone, Stephen L.
Teaching Elementary Physical Education, v17 n1 p34 Jan 2006
As children see the first snowflake fall from the sky, they are filled with anticipation of playing in the snow. The snowy environment presents a wonderful opportunity for presenting interdisciplinary activities that connect snow play, snow formation, and snow stories with manipulative activities, gymnastic balances, and dance sequences. In this article, the authors present several activities that can be used during snowy days. (Contains 5 resources and 1 photograph.)
