Critiques Daryl Siedentop's paper, "Sport Education: A Retrospective," providing background on play theory, which underpins Siedentop's play education theory and subsequently the sport education (SE) model, examining assumptions that Siedentop believes undergirds SE, suggesting a change in the definition of SE to be more global, and noting that SE's future depends on the degree to which there is a broader definition of sport in SE.
