Educating Students To Teach in a Constructivist Way--Can It All Be Done?
Mintrop, Heinrich
Teachers College Record, v103 n2 p207-39 Apr 2001
Analyzes a teacher education program centered in a constructivist teaching model, "Fostering Community of Learners," showing how three program iterations over time grappled with the fusing of inspiration, reasoning, skill development, and design work. Though none of the iterations were shining successes, all of the elements were indispensable components of a program aimed at constructivist pedagogy in student teachers' classrooms. (SM)
