The Presentation of Women in College-Level History Textbooks.

Describes a content analysis of 33 college-level American history textbooks studying the presentation of women. Findings showed 96% of the content and 70% of the illustrations devoted to men's contributions. Recommends women historians and textbook writers coordinate in textbook writing. (CK)
