Economic Education: Making the Most of the Curriculum.
Kourilsky, Marilyn
Social Studies, v72 n2 p86-89 Mar-Apr 1981
Suggests that economic literacy will be fostered if economic concepts such as scarcity, cost-benefit analysis, supply and demand, production, consumption, and money and barter are introduced to elementary school children and included in the social studies curriculum in increasingly complex fashion throughout high school. Ways of helping teachers understand economics by means of inservice workshops are suggested. (DB)
