Mexican American Pupils in the Elementary Grades Can Learn Time Concepts.
Rodriguez, Hugo
Southwestern Journal of Social Education, v9 n1 p34-40 Fall-Win 1979
Maintains that social studies programs for minority students (particularly Mexican American pupils) should emphasize time concepts--defined as time understandings which allow individuals to categorize and order immediate and distant events. Findings from a study of time concept learning in 95 elementary school pupils in Texas indicate that both Anglo and Mexican American students can learn social studies time concepts. (Author/DB)
