Project Peace: The Evaluation of a Skill-Based Violence Prevention Program for High School Adolescents.
de Anda, Diane
Social Work in Education, v21 n3 p137-49 Jul 1999
Describes a study of high school students who participated in a cognitive-behavioral violence prevention program. The basic premise was that changing behavior involves learning new behaviors, and thought processes mediate behaviors. Results indicated a significant improvement in students' sense of safety in the school environment, attitudes toward violence, and student behavior with respect to confrontations on campus.
