A Quest for Citations? An Analysis of and Commentary on the Trend Toward Multiple Authorship.
Gelman, Sheldon R.; Gibelman, Margaret
Journal of Social Work Education, v35 n2 p203-13 Spr-Sum 1999
A discussion of the increase in multiple authorship of scholarly journal articles in social work looks at the reasons for this phenomenon, implications of multiple scholarship, and potential ethical questions arising from such collaborations. Guidelines from related professions are reviewed, and comments are made concerning when and under what circumstances multiple authorship is appropriate and beneficial. (Author/MSE)
