An analysis of the use of the Project materials during the 1970-71 school year indicated that the materials were most frequently used as supplementary readings; teachers usually learned about the materials through professional literature rather than from publishers agents, teacher educators, or from teacher workshops; the contribution of the Project is substantial in American history, world history, government and civics, sociology and contemporary problems.
