Does ISCS Improve Reading Skills?

A study of student reading skills was conducted using two seventh grade classes grouped homogeneously according to ability. The groups were retested one year later. The group using Intermediate Science Curriculum Study (ISCS) increased reading comprehension by 1.06 points; non-ISCS, .80 point, representing a two-month difference between groups. (DF)
