Creating Science Picture Books for an Authentic Audience
DeFauw, Danielle L.; Saad, Klodia
Science Activities: Classroom Projects and Curriculum Ideas, v51 n4 p101-115 2014

By creating a picture book, students experience the writing process, understand how to share their learning with an authentic audience, and create an artifact that demonstrates their understanding of content knowledge.
