Metaphors as Global Markers for Teachers' Beliefs about the Nature of Science.
Milne, Catherine; Taylor, Peter Charles
Research in Science Education, v25 n1 p39-49 1995
Analyzed metaphors used by science teachers in their classroom discourse and their influence on the image of science constructed by students. Teachers need to reflect critically on their use of metaphors to develop a constructivist pedagogy in the classroom. (40 references) (Author/JRH)
