Elementary Teacher Candidates' Conceptions of Successful Conceptual Change Teaching.
Stofflett, Rene T.; Stefanon, Laurie
Journal of Elementary Science Education, v8 n2 p1-20 Fall 1996
Examines preservice elementary teachers' constructs for analyzing their own conceptual change classroom practice. Reports that the candidates used six student-oriented and seven teacher-oriented evaluation criteria and the five most frequent categories were all student-oriented. Suggests that the candidates were using a constructivist framework to interpret their conceptual change teaching practices. Contains 14 references. (Author/JRH)
