Issues in Adopting a Laserdisk-Based Science Curriculum.
Child, David A.; Duffy, Thomas M.; Kirkley, Sonny; Hubbard, Lori
Journal of Science Education and Technology, v6 n3 p161-71 Sep 1997
Examines the implementation of a laserdisk-based science curriculum in an elementary school. Issues discussed include ownership of the classroom discussion, constraints on activities, and the teacher's response to the teaching tools. Also examines student attitudes and anxiety toward science. Results indicate little adoption of the curriculum and a high degree of control by the teachers in the classroom. (AIM)
