Gender- and Grade-Level Differences in Science Interest and Participation.
Greenfield, Teresa Arambula
Science Education, v81 n3 p259-75 Jun 1997
Explores students' attitudes towards science, prior science-related experiences, and perceptions of science and scientists and how these vary by gender and grade. Findings indicate that girls and boys expressed similar opinions on all survey scales but girls were less likely to view science as a male-stereotyped field. Younger students expressed more positive attitudes. Contains 50 references. (Author/JRH)
