A Profile of the Scientific Attitudes of 672 Ninth-Grade Students

Ninth graders in two junior high schools were administered the Scientific Attitude Inventory, composed of 60 items giving results for six positive and six opposing negative attitude scales. Results suggest that students neither strongly accept positive scientific attitudes nor strongly reject negative scientific attitudes, and lack understanding of science and technology. (PR)
