Student Satisfaction in Large Undergraduate Online Courses
Bolliger, Doris U.; Wasilik, Oksana
Quarterly Review of Distance Education, v13 n3 p153-165 2012
Researchers investigated perceived satisfaction of undergraduate students with high-enrollment online course sections at a research-intensive university. A modified survey instrument was administered to all undergraduate students enrolled in 2 online statistics courses in which interaction was not a central element of course design. Students were satisfied with the courses; they were less satisfied with course outcomes. The results of a factor analysis showed that the modified scale is a valid and reliable instrument that measures perceived student satisfaction in online undergraduate courses. (Contains 5 tables.)
