Anti-racism as a Radical Educational Ideology in London and Tyneside.
Bonnett, Alastair
Oxford Review of Education, v16 n2 p255-67 1990
Argues educational ideology is geographically and historically specific by comparing London and Tyneside activist teachers' views concerning antiracist ideology. Identifies contradictions within contemporary teaching practices and contends that dominant liberal-educationalism has co-opted antiracism. In contrast to predominantly White Tyneside, sees radical antiracism replacing multicultural education in London. (CH)
