The present study investigated perceived effects of an afterschool program located in 6 Title 1 schools on students' achievement, self-esteem, and attitudes. Uses a heuristic example, data from K. Holzinger and F. Swineford (1939) to illustrate the "holdout" method to assess the generalizability of results in multiple regression. Studied the degree to which various supervisory theories are dominant in contemporary instructional supervision textbooks through the analysis of 12 texts.
