Bempechat, Janine; And Others
Journal of Research and Development in Education, v29 n2 p53-59 Win 1996
This study examined the relationship between attributions for success and failure and mathematics achievement in African American, Hispanic, Indochinese, and Caucasian elementary students. Students completed the Sydney Attribution Scale and Wide Range Achievement Test. Across groups, high achievement related to attributing success to ability, not attributing failure to lack of ability.
