Diagnosing Strengths and Weaknesses of Sixth-Grade Students in Solving Word Problems.
Ballew, Hunter; Cunningham, James W.
Journal for Research in Mathematics Education, v13 n3 p202-10 May 1982

The results suggest that inability to read problems is a major obstacle for sixth graders, and mastery of components of problem solving ensures process mastery. (MP)
