Short-Term Music Instruction and Young Children's Developmental Music Aptitude.
Flohr, John W.
Journal of Research in Music Education, v29 n3 p219-23 Fall 1981
From 29 five-year-olds, three groups were drawn. Two experimental groups received 12 weeks of either instrumental improvisation or singing, percussion, and movement. Controls received no music instruction. Scores on the Primary Measures of Music Audiation (PMMA) indicated that the instructional programs influenced subjects' developmental music aptitude. (SJL)
