The Relationship of Pitch-Matching and Pitch-Discrimination Abilities of Preschool and Fourth-Grade Students.

One hundred forty-four students, randomly selected, were tested individually for pitch-discrimination and vocal pitch-matching abilities. Pitch-discrimination scores were used to subdivide each age group into three ability-level groups. There were significant differences in pitch-matching scores between the age groups but not within the ability groups. (Author/SR)
