The Effects of Economics Instruction in Early Adolescence.
Ingels, Steven J.; O'Brien, Mary Utne
Theory and Research in Social Education, v16 n4 p279-94 Fall 1988
Examines the effect of economics instruction on ninth-grade student attitudes toward economic topics using the Economics Values Inventory. Finds that economics instruction has a measurable impact on student economic attitudes and reinforces developmental trends resulting in greater commitment to the system of economic production and diminished support for egalitarian distribution.
