Compares the effects of concept instruction using either critical attributes or best examples on the acquisition of a concept. Inconsistent with previous research, findings reveal no statistically significant differences on the immediate or delayed achievement posttests. Statistical and procedural data are presented as well as possible explanations for the study's contrary conclusions. (Author/GEA)
