The Effects of Recycling and Response Sensitivity on the Acquisition of Social Studies Concepts.
Ford, Mary Jane; McKinney, C. Warren
Theory and Research in Social Education, v14 n1 p21-23 Win 1986
Two studies are reported which investigate the concept learning of 116 sixth graders (study 1) and 107 second graders (study 2) depending on the model of concept presentation. Results showed no difference between the structured Merrill and Tennyson model and adaptations of the model which were responsive to student's questions or recycled missed instances. (Author/JDH)
