Changing Children's Attitudes toward the Elderly: The Longitudinal Effects of an Intergenerational Partners Program.
Aday, Ronald H.; And Others
Journal of Research in Childhood Education, v10 n2 p143-51 Spr-Sum 1996
Evaluated effects of a nine-month project that paired fourth graders with elderly volunteers for a number of shared interdisciplinary activities. The Children's Perception of Aging and Elderly inventory posttest scores indicated the experimental group had significantly more positive attitudes toward the elderly than the control group. Results held for follow-ups at one and five years. (HTH)
