Le service de garde scolaire et son potentiel educatif en milieu economiquement faible (School Age Child Care and Its Educational Potential for Low Socioeconomic Groups).
Roy, Chantal
Canadian Journal of Research in Early Childhood Education, v7 n3 p223-37 Mar 1999
Examined characteristics of educational interventions in school-age care services to meet the needs of their low socioeconomic populations. Characteristics examined included staff qualifications, availability of further training, degree of collaboration between the program and the school, and quality of the child care environment. Found that staff had personal characteristics that facilitate positive educational interventions with children from low socioeconomic circumstances. (JPB)
