The Appraisal of Teachers in Middle Management Roles.

Researchers surveyed elementary and secondary teachers with paid responsibilities beyond classroom teaching, examining appraisal of their role in middle management. Participants accepted the use of student opinion in appraisal, while recognizing need for codes of practice. Task observation and intrateam, departmental appraisal were viewed as the most effective.
